Goona warra Vineyard wedding by James Harvie Photography
Goona warra Vineyard for your wedding photos certainly delivers exceptional photographic opportunities. For starters the buildings date back to the 1860’s and they just ooze character which is perfect for wedding photos.
I was lucky to be chosen by Janelle and Wayne to photograph their June wedding. Janelle simply loved my relaxed natural style of photography. I began the day with the girls out at the venue. The weather was on our side as we had no wind and just lovely soft light. Janelle was really keen for me to capture an image just like from her Mums wedding. This was a really nice sentimental touch.
The girls were relatively easy to photograph and I found this perfect spot to hang the dress outside. Sometimes it’s nice to find a spot outside where you can give the dress photos a really rustic feel. The boys on the other hand were not a big fan of the camera, but with 18 years experience I am used to dealing with clients who are camera shy. It’s quite funny as I hate the camera on myself. I think its pretty normal for people to not be a big fan for images.
The ceremony got underway nice and smoothly and again I was lucky to have some good light. I am not a big fan of flash and really do try to avoid it so I can achieve more natural images.
A big fun group shot followed the ceremony as well as some family and friends shots. Then the fun began with the location shoot. Goona warra Vineyard delivers stunning wedding Photo opportunities. I quickly embarked upon creating some magical wedding photography amongst the vines. The colours were just to die for. We had lovely soft yellow tones following on from Autumn. Janelle also had a wonderful veil so I spent some time creating some dancing veil shots. A veil can look so nice for your wedding photography. Some of my clients just use a veil for the location shoot.
As dusk drew upon us we headed to reception where I captured those quirky fly on the wall type mages as well as the first dance and cutting the cake. Being a cocktail wedding reception I was free to roam and capture lots of laughter and action.
I finished before the formalities of speeches commenced. Looking back on the images I was so happy with the light and I guess that is the one benefit of a winter wedding. You are often blessed with lovely soft light.
I want to thank all the wonderful suppliers on the day for your tremendous efforts in making Janelle and Wayne’s day so wonderful. A huge shout out goes to all these wonderful suppliers:
