Melbourne Autumn Garden wedding with James Harvie Photography

Possibly one of the nicest times of the year to hold your Melbourne wedding ceremony is in the Autumn. At this time you will find the sun is softer and can give you perfect lighting.

You are also likely to experience days that are still with a hint of chill in the air. My client held their ceremony at a private residence near Mt Dandenong. The bridal preparations were held at a stunning venue called Arnica Views B and B. The homestead had very old rustic charm with a stunning fire place in the main bedroom. Photographing weddings all over Melbourne I have the chance to visit many amazing places and this one is high up on my list of favourites.

The ceremony was a relaxed sentimental affair and as we moved into the wedding photography location shoot everything just fell into place. The light was simply stunning as it penetrated through the autumn trees. I had this wonderful timeless scene to pose my couple. I deliberately pointed the lens right into the sun to create this gorgeous warm sun kiss effect.
